Motives for starting the lie of Watchtower Authority.

i have yet to come across anyones opinions, jw or not, of the personal motives of the leaders of the org.

to perpetuate what i guess we all would call the lie of the watchtoer authority.

in my opinion, i think that russell was an athiest out to show how easy it is to decieve people using the bible.

It's a valid and useful question.

If Jehovah (YHWH) was the LIVING GOD and did all those amazing miracles in Egypt, Red Sea, wilderness, battles and wars etc as described in the Bible, then there is basically no way anyone would go and choose to serve a different LIFELESS Idol god is there.

The only explanations for them choosing to do so is that there really was little difference in the God "experience" between YHWH and Baal (insert "false" god here)... meaning YHWH was NOT all he was cracked up to be, or the other gods were of equal merit, or the Priest class kept everyone in the dark that it was all just another religious CULT based on misinformation.

Take yer pick, or think of some other reasons... I cant believe the Israelites were as DUMB and stubborn as the Bible portrays them as.

there's at least two of them that have been harrasing me even before i was a jw.

i recently attended a deliverance church to find some help but it was apparent that the holy spirit was missing from that church.
